I love mushrooms and have been experimenting with different ways of cooking them for a while. The air fryer is a great way to cook them as it takes out a lot of the moisture and lets the mushrooms cook evenly.

To add a bit of flavor, I usually add a bit of garlic butter and some Italian herbs. I top them with cheese. Cooking in the air fryer then allows the cheese to melt and form a lovely crispy layer on top.

Lastly, cooking is so easy. Load the basket, set the team and time, and press start. The air fryer will automatically start up and switch off once done.

Cleaning is also so simple and easy as the surfaces are all non-stick. Swirl in a little soapy hot water and wipe with a cloth. Rinse out and dry.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Garlic Press
  • Oil atomizer

Ingredients

  • 6 med/large Brown mushrooms
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian herbs
  • ½ Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place your cleaned brown mushrooms in the basket flesh side up
  • Add a tiny sprinkle of salt to each.
  • Add black pepper and Italian herbs
  • Mix crushed garlic with melted butter and add to the mushrooms.
  • Top the mushrooms with the grated cheese.
  • Air fry at 180°C (356°F) for 8 minutes
