Instructions

  • Chop slab of chocolate into chips and set aside
  • In your mixing bowl, lightly beat the butter and sugar together using the hand mixer. Does not need to be light and fluffy but juts so that the ingredients combine.
  • Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla essence and beat till ingredients are combined.
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda together.
  • Add flour mixture to your mixing bowl and mix well till combined.
  • Add the chocolate chips and combine by hand.
  • Using a tablespoon as a measure, roll the dough into a ball and flatten it into a biscuit shape. Place in the tray of your air fryer. It is prudent to ensure that your air fryer tray has a light coat of oil to prevent sticking.
  • Bake at 180℃ for 12 minutes. You may need to bake several batches depending on the size of your air fryer. My air fryer comfortably fits 4 tablespoon-sized cookies at a time. With the above ingredients I cooked a total of 8 biscuits
  • Once cooked, remove from air fryer and place on a cooling tray to cool properly.
